| Again, no pain, so I'm thinking I'm over the injury. But I'm still trying to decide how much to boost my mileage next week, and what my strategy for St. George should be. If I want to run on my own and try to go under 3, or if I want to pace my mom and/or Zach, and then maintain a solid base and shoot for an even faster time next year. |

| I would have done more today, but I rolled my ankle when I ran into a rattlesnake on a trail up in the mountains/hills. I went home and iced it and I'm hoping I can recover quickly. But my right foot/heel that was hurting before isn't bothering me at all. |

| My ankle is feeling much better, so I'm glad that it wasn't a more serious injury (just a little tweak). The weather has been fantastic the last few days, and it should continue for a bit. I'm also looking forward to good weather through the winter so I can get in some good training! |

| I went 9 miles with the boys in the stroller. I found a backroad that goes to Andulka park, but that has a lot less traffic than some of the other streets, and it has been great. I'm feeling good about training. Whether it pays off this year, I'm not sure. But I think we're laying a good foundation for future races. |

| This ended up being a little longer than I had planned. We were in San Diego for the weekend and I had a great run around Mission Bay, with a few miles down around 6:10 pace. But since I hadn't run there before, I wasn't quite sure when I should turn around and run back to my sister's house. So I ended up going a bit longer than is probably ideal a week before the marathon. |

Over the weekend, my hunch that I went too hard on Saturday was confirmed, since I felt like I was recovering from a half-marathon (for which my time would have been right around 1:30, maybe a bit faster). But I'm feeling better now. |
