| Fourteen divided between home, then campus, then home. It was good to finally get a long-ish run. I actually felt quite good and my back (muscle) is starting to feel better about a week after a bike spill. |

| Out and back to Andulka. It was a good way to start the week. This next little bit will be busy with traveling, so I hope to be able to get in some good runs and could really use some good long runs. We'll be in Utah for a little while for me to do research/writing for a grant I received, so it will be nice to be able to train at altitude in preparation for St. George. My back is feeling better everyday, so that's nice. My goal in the next few days is to try to do a long run on Wednesday and to get as much writing done as possible (as well as grading) before Thursday. |

| 7 out and back with a loop at Andulka. My time was 53:20, which was pretty easy. I then tacked on a bit extra at the end. |

| I did my long run early this week, since I'll be traveling and it may be harder to get in a long run. I first ran about 7 miles up in the trails near Islander Park. Then I went to Andulka, ran 2.5 miles there and back. Then I ran a little cooldown on the grass near my house. In total, about 16 miles (I think a little more) in around 2:08. I was going closer to 7:30-7:40 pace on the parts that I know the mileage, so I'm guessing it was actually a bit more than 16. This was great. I felt tired at the end, but not hurting. I knew I needed to start getting some longer runs in, and this was a boost of confidence at this stage. Plenty of work to be done, but I think I'm at an okay place so far. |
